Glenn Allen Rucker, age 49, of Caseyville Township, Ill., born January 24, 1959 passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008 in his home. Glenn and the former Lisa Loraine Deraas, formerly of Bottineau, N.D. married August 5, 1992. Glenn served in the US Air Force as a personnel craftsman retiring in 1996. He then continued work in Civil Service personnel, relocating to Scott AFB in the fall of 2007, from Kadena Air Base, Japan. Glenn was a Star Trek fan and enjoyed spending his free time relaxing with his family, watching science fiction or Discovery channel. He collected classic comic books and was a loving husband and supportive father. He liked to play sports, both as a child and an adult. He read his Bible daily and valued his family and his faith.
Glenn was preceded in death by his brother Gary Rucker and his father Luther L. Rucker; his parents-in-law, Maurice and Loraine Deraas and sister-in-law Mary Lynn Deraas.
He is survived by his wife Lisa Rucker and sons Bryson and Devin, all of Caseyville; sisters Teresa Rucker of Kennett, Mo. and Annette Williams of Kansas City, Kan.; and mother Billie Faye McClinton of Kansas City, Kan.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ronald Deraas of Bottineau, ND; Nancy Christenson of Bismarck, ND; Kenneth Deraas of Bismarck, ND; JoAnne Cushing of Brookings, SD; Robert Deraas of Fargo, ND; Maureen Fischer of Nevis, Minn; and Duane Deraas of Cavalier, ND.

Memorial Service: 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home Chapel. A reception will immediately follow the service and the family will receive friends at the funeral home until 6:30 p.m.
