Obituary
Golda Lorene Vennum, nee Wright, age 89, born August 8, 1924 in Columbus, Kans., passed away Monday, August 4, 2014 at Memorial Hospital, in Belleville, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence W. Vennum; brothers Rex, Jack, Bert, and Clyde and sister Pearl; and parents Isam and Alta Marie, nee Van Vacter, Wright; son-in-law Jerry Verdun and grandson Davy Carlyle.
Mrs. Vennum is survived by her children Alita (David) Carlyle of Elsberry, Mo., Warren (Joyce) Vennum of Fairview Heights, Ill., Linda (Dave) Grohs of Belleville, Ill., and Susan Verdun of Caseyville, Ill. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial Donations in honor of Mrs. Vennum are suggested to Bethel Baptist Church, 10 Bethel Meadows Road, Caseyville, IL 62232.
Visitation: Friends may call from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., Thursday August 7, 2014 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, Ill.
Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, Ill., with Pastor Mike Evans Officiating.
Graveside Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2014 at Park Cemetery, Columbus, Kans.
