Grace E. Loyet  (nee Stephens), age 87, of Highland, Ill., born, May 26, 1930 in East St. Louis, Ill.,  passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Mrs. Loyet retired from K-Mart in Belleville after working there for more than 20 years. Grace was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Villa Hills in Belleville. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, camping, fishing and bowling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Velma Stephens (nee Wills), daughter, Candace Patton, grandson, Deron Patton, brother, Bill Stephens, sister, Margie Stephens, and former husband, Ross A. Wilson.

Surviving are her husband, Merril Loyet, whom she married September 21, 1984; three sons, Craig Wilson, Steven Loyet and Todd Loyet; four daughters, Deborah Janik, Denise Keller, Janet Libell and Susan Williams; two brothers, Ron Stephens and Dan Stephens; 23 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Visitation:  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a. m. until 1:00 p. m. Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home.

Funeral:  Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon, Ill., with Pastor Larry Patton officiating.  Burial will follow at O'Fallon City Cemetery.
