Grace R. Woody, age 93, of O'Fallon, Ill., formerly of Rentz, Ga., passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017.

Mrs. Woody retired from J.P. Stevens and loved flowers, gardening, and playing the piano. She currently resided at the Liberty Village Retirement Center in Maryville, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.N. Register, Sr. and Effie Lee Evans Register; husbands, Ellis Garnto and Cameron Woody, and her brothers, Burtis Register, Fred Register, and W.N. "Bud" Register, Jr.

Survivors include her sons, Sterling Garnto (Mary Jane), of O'Fallon, Ill., and Wendell Garnto (Maxine), of Dublin, Ga.; step-children, Rex Woody, Beth Lakey and Brenda Slaughter, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, October 13, 2017 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home, Dublin, Ga. Burial will follow in Northview Cemetery, Dublin. Rev. Myron Wise will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until funeral hour at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bob Gay, Jesse Braswell, Keith Smith, Kenny Register, Marcus Clements, and Clyde Tipton.
