Hilda M. Haukapp, nee Blumberg, age 96, of Lebanon, Ill., formerly of O'Fallon, born January 24, 1914 in Troy, Ill., passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010.

Hilda was previously employed as a folder at a garment factory and bartender at Towne Lounge, O'Fallon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Haukapp, whom she married November 16, 1937 in Troy; and who passed away December 7, 1990; her infant son Donald; her parents, Fred and Lydia, nee Wilham, Blumberg; sister, Alice Deterding and four brothers, Al, Fred, Kenneth and Jack Blumberg.

Mrs. Haukapp is survived by her son, William (Kay) Haukapp of O'Fallon; three grandchildren, Brad Haukapp of Round Rock, Tex; Keith Haukapp of O'Fallon, Ill. and Wendy Wegs of Mt. Sterling, Ill.; seven great-grandchildren, Brian, Tyler and Kiersten Haukapp and Lane, Becca, Peyton, and Morgan Wegs; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Blumberg of Collinsville and Rita Haukapp of Trenton; a special niece, Jeanie Haukapp of O'Fallon, and other nieces and nephews.

Memorials are requested to Heartland Hospice.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 – 7 PM, Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, Ill.

Funeral: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 9, 2010 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, O'Fallon, Ill. with Msgr. William Hitpas presiding. Burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, rural Troy, Ill.
