Irene Griffith McGinley, age 105, formerly of Charleston, S.C. and Tucson, Ariz., born February 12, 1918, passed away Monday April 3, 2023, at Memorial Hospital, Shiloh, Illinois.

Irene was very active in her church in Tucson. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and walking.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward William McGinley, Jr.

She is survived by her children Cecilia (Fred) Pisaneschi of Sagamore Hill, Ohio, retired Army Lt. Col. Edward W. (Marcia) McGinley, III of O'Fallon, Ill., Ashley (Sarah) McGinley of Dayton, Ohio, Patricia (retired Air Force Col. Terry) Simpson of Southern Shores, N.C., and Michael McGinley of London, England; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
