Ms. Jacqueline "Jackie" Loyet, (nee Schumacher) age 74, of Shiloh, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, IL. She was born in Taylorville, Ill on January 31, 1931, to Robert James and Dorothy Elizabeth (nee Cook) Schumacher. Jackie worked as a Secretary for the Catholic Diocese of Belleville for 27 years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Yesterday's Kids, LIFT, the Moose Lodge, and she enjoyed country dancing.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Stephen) Mackey of Severn, MD, Janet Libell of Shiloh, Susan (Jeffrey) Edwards of Shiloh, Steven Loyet of Shipman, IL, and Todd (Pamela) Loyet of Fairview Heights; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Geraldine Munie.
Friends may call from 9:30 – 11:00 am, Saturday, January 7, 2006 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, O'Fallon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Saturday, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, O'Fallon with Rev. Kenneth York, presiding and Rev. William Hitpas, concelebrating.
