James A. Nash, age 82, of O'Fallon, born Feb. 14, 1928 in Herculaneum, Mo., passed away May 3, 2010 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Mr. Nash was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict, retiring from Scott Air Force Base in 1967. He continued as a computer systems analyst, working in Civil Service. Mr. Nash was a longtime, faithful parishioner of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, was a life member of Knights of Columbus Council 4239, O'Fallon Sportsman Club and former member of O'Fallon Senior Citizens Club.
James was preceded in death by his wife Anne, nee Gagliano, Nash, whom he married November 24, 1951 in Crystal City, Mo., and passed away December 16, 2004; his parents Albert and Agnes, nee Boyer, Nash, his son Mark B. Nash; his daughter Patricia Anne Nash-Hoffmann; three brothers, one sister, two half-brothers, one half-sister.
He is survived by his son, Jeff Nash and wife, Kimbrough of Belleville; and three grandchildren who were very fond of him, Jennifer, Alexi, and James Nash; and his sister Alberta Jones of St. Clair, Mo.
Memorials may be made to the St. Nicholas Building Fund.
Visitation: Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon, Ill.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the funeral home, with Rev. William J. Hitpas officiating.
Burial will follow at O'Fallon City Cemetery with military honors.
