IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Alan
Warhoover
June 29, 1955 – May 5, 2023
James Alan Warhoover, age 67, lifelong resident of O'Fallon, Ill., born June 29, 1955, passed away suddenly on Friday evening, May 5, 2023.
Jim attended St. Clare Grade School, then 2 years at Althoff Catholic High School before transferring to O'Fallon Twp. High School, graduating in 1973. After the loss of his father when he was 17, Jim stepped in to become a father figure to his siblings. Then 4 years later, when his mother passed away, 21-year-old Jim and his wife Tina took in Jim's youngest brothers John and Jerry. Jim was a beloved big brother and carried on the family heritage of love of family and respect for God. He was a gifted carpenter who expected perfection out of his work. He was honest, hard-working, patriotic, smart, and strong, and his family and friends valued his opinion. He was generous and selfless, giving his best to his wife and daughters, who were his pride and joy. His love only grew bigger when he welcomed sons-in-law, and then became "Opa" to Mia, Ava, James, and Jacob. Jim enjoyed camping, stock-car and NASCAR racing and watching old westerns on TV. He would do anything for anyone; he was truly one of a kind.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter James and Norma Marie, nee Weissert, Warhoover; his brothers-in-law Jesse Oldfield and Doyle Moore.
Surviving are his wife Tina Marie, nee Youmans, Warhoover of O'Fallon, whom he married June 28, 1975 at St Clare Catholic Church; daughters Jamie (Wesley III) Nolden of Troy, Ill., Julie (Javier) Orozco of Shaw AFB, S.C.; grandchildren Mia and Ava Nolden, and James and Jacob Orozco; his siblings Mary Ann Oldfield, Ruth (Don) Blue, Rose (Mark) Whitcomb, Patricia (Dave) Schaeffer, Ron Warhoover, Jane (Doug) Buxton, Jean Moore, John (Ginnie) Warhoover, Joan (Steve) Waltrip, Jerry (Nancy) Warhoover, Judy (Charlie) Wall; many nieces and nephews, and several godchildren.
Online condolences may be shared at www.wfh-ofallon.com . Memorial donations are suggested to Tunnel to Towers Foundation , an organization that Jim was proud to support.
