Jane Frances Heywood, nee Harder, age 80, of O'Fallon, formerly of Innsbrook Estates, Mo., born May 30, 1937 in Durand, Mich., passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at her home at The Colonnade in O'Fallon, Ill.
Jane grew up in Durand and moved to Kirkwood, Mo. in 1972, and later moved to Innsbrook Estates in 1998. She attended nursing school as a young adult, but her true calling in life was that of a wife and mother to her five children, who, in addition to her grandchildren, were her pride and joy. She enjoyed gardening, golf, travel, playing cards, and decorating.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard G. Heywood, a longtime practicing St. Louis attorney; her parents Harry and Olive, nee Randolph, Harder; and her sister Elizabeth Bizoe.
She is survived by her children Monica (Douglas) McCluskey of Ballwin, Mo., Carlton (June) Oesterle of Parkville, Mo., Margery (Bruce) Greenwald of O'Fallon, Ill., Matthew (Stacey) Oesterle of Evanston, Ill., and Molly (Mark) McDaniel of Glendale, Mo.; eight much-loved grandchildren and three precious great-grandchildren; brothers Kirk (Susan) Harder of Durand, Mich., and Clark (Linda) Harder of Owosso, Mich.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice in appreciation for their kindness and care.
The family will hold services at a later date.
