Ovilla Jane Muller, age 82, resident of Troy, Ill., born December 21, 1937 in Portageville, Mo., one of eleven children, passed away Monday afternoon, April 27, 2020 at Liberty Village in Maryville, Ill.

Jane grew up in southeastern Missouri. She married at a young age, and with her husband, relocated to the Metro-east area searching for work in the late 1950s. Jane worked for Bussmann Fuses for several years, and later for Basler Electric in Highland, Ill., retiring in 2002. Jane enjoyed working in her yard, tending her flower beds, and cooking. She was the glue that kept the family together, as connecting with her siblings, son, and grandson, and all their families, was very important to her. A bright light in her life most recently was her sweet 2-year-old great-granddaughter Samara.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy G. Muller, who passed away March 17, 2007; and her parents Butler and Maude Barrett.

Surviving are her son Ricky G. (Barb) Muller of Troy, Ill.; grandson Aaron (Sarah) Muller; great-granddaughter Samara Muller; and her sister Barbara (Brian) Bigelow.

Service: A private service will be held on May 1, 2020, with her cousin Rev. Patrick Garcia officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
