Jannet Marie Ahle, nee Hug, age 85, of O'Fallon, Ill., born November 13, 1936 in Belleville, Ill., passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 26, 2022.

Jannet grew up in Belleville and graduated from Belleville West High School. She married Don in 1954 and was married nearly 68 years. For many years, she was employed as a secretary at Scott Air Force Base. Jannet was a true Cardinal baseball fan who never missed a game on TV or the radio. Over the years, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, flower gardening, annual trips to Las Vegas, putting her puzzles together, and baking delicious sugar cookies by the hundreds for Easter and Christmas to give to family and friends. She was also quite the pie maker with coconut cream and pineapple cream being favorites. She loved her family and always looked forward to birthday and holiday celebrations with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Pearl Hug, and her sister, Shirley Price.

Surviving are her husband Donald O. Ahle, her daughter Debbie (Stu) Carter, sons David Ahle and Craig Ahle; her grandchildren Amy (Dave) Pekala and Brian Ahle; her great-grandchildren Jacob Pekala and Sydney Pekala; and her sister DeeAnna Owen.
