Aloha "Jean" Kalb, age 86, of rural Troy, Ill., born September 22, 1928 in Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015, at her home.
Jean had a Christ-like spirit that gave her a zest for life. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Maryville, where she taught a women's Sunday School class for many years. She enjoyed her fun outings with friends in Timeless Treasures Senior's Group and assisted with the church's annual yard sale. Jean had worked as a bookkeeper for Hamlin Cabinets. She loved her flower gardens and enjoyed fishing. She was a caring mother and grandmother and was crazy about her grandkids Kasi and Andy.
Surviving are her two sons Timothy (Becky) Kalb of Troy, Ill., and Mark (Kathy) Kalb of Red Wing, Minn.; her grandchildren Kasi Kalb of Collinsville, Ill., Andy Kalb of Red Wing, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Kalb; her parents William Moak and Hattie, nee Smith, Moak; and her six siblings.
Memorial donations are suggested to First Baptist Maryville.

Funeral: 11:00 am, Thursday, February 19, 2015, at First Baptist Maryville, with Rev. Dr. Tom Hufty officiating. Graveside Service at 2:30 pm, Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.
