It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Jeffrey Allen Green, age 60, of O’Fallon Ill. who departed from this life peacefully in his home on Feb. 5, 2026.
Though his time on this earth ended earlier than we would ever have hoped, Jeff made a lasting impression on all of those who loved him. In his lifetime, Jeff could best be defined by a devotion to five alliterative words: faith, family, friends, food and fun. Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and a meal shared would always include warmth, love and laughter. With a chosen vocation to remain single, he was known for traveling anywhere to assist a very large extended family in their hours of need. Jeff’s faith was extremely important to him and he clearly lived it – from volunteering to assist friends with their taxes to supporting those in need at a senior community.
Though we grieve his loss deeply, we take comfort in knowing he is at peace. He will be forever missed and so warmly remembered. May we take the generous love he gave so freely and reflect it back many times over with fond memories and prayers.
Jeff was a graduate of Althoff Catholic High School and Quincy College. His career began by working with his father’s accounting firm before moving on to Creason Edwards Accounting and, ultimately, Scott Air Force Base in the United States Transportation Test Center.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Omer Laverne Green and Ruth Jean Green, nee Coad, and his brother-in-law Frank Borow. He was the youngest of eight and is survived by siblings Mary Su (Steve) Gruenke of Belleville, Ill.; Steve (Leslie) Green of Nokomis, Fla.; Shirley (Larry) Seipp of O’Fallon, Ill.; Phillip (Ann) Green of Hastings, Mich.; Valarie Borow of Houston, Texas; Pam (Pat) Trausch of Red Oak, Texas; and Diana (Vic) Svec of Belleville, Ill.; as well as multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated in the form of Masses or contributions to St. Clare Church. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.wfh-ofallon.com. Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O’Fallon, is serving the family.
The family will receive visitors from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026 at St. Clare Catholic Church, 1411 Cross St., O’Fallon Ill. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m., with Father Jim Deiters presiding, nephew Father Joel Seipp concelebrating, and Deacon Phillip Green assisting. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Shiloh, Ill.
