Jennifer Marie Mueller, age 35, of O'Fallon, born July 9, 1982 in Minot, N.D., passed away Wednesday morning, January 17, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Jenn grew up in an Air Force family and had called O'Fallon home. She graduated from OTHS in 2000, then attended Colorado State University. She returned to O'Fallon in 2013, just in time to celebrate the arrival of her first nephew. She was employed in the Mueller family business, O'Fallon's The Egg & I Restaurant, where she was the Director of Operations, overseeing marketing and community relations. She was active in the O'Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce and was a recent graduate of the Chamber's Leadership Institute.

Jenn was active at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, serving as a lector and volunteering in the RCIA ministry. She was intuitive to the needs of others and was thoughtful, kind, and friendly. As she fought her illness, Jenn lived by these words, "You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have."

She was preceded in death by her Grandfather Henry Mueller and Aunt Laura Mueller.

Surviving are her parents Gary and Cathy, nee Froese, Mueller; sister Kristen (Eric) Young and their son Aiden; brother Dr. Joe (Megan) Mueller and their son Preston (plus one on the way), all of O'Fallon; grandparents Richard and Velma Froese of Enid, Okla., and Evelyn Mueller of Palatine Bridge, N.Y., dear best friend Danielle (Dan) Selby and their daughters Elizabeth and Julia; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Memorial donations are suggested payable to either " Fibrolamellar Cancer Foundation ," 20 Horseneck Lane Greenwich, CT 06830 in memory of Jennifer Mueller or to " CSU Foundation, memo: Jenn Mueller" for Restaurant and Resort Management Program Jennifer Mueller Memorial Scholarship, which has been established at the School of Restaurant and Resort Management, Colorado State University, CSU Foundation, 410 University Services Center, Fort Collins, CO 80523. Memorial donations will be accepted at the funeral home.

The Mueller family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by the staff at Memorial East, Shiloh and Memorial Hospital, Belleville.

Visitation: Friends may call from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, Ill., and from 9:00 – 9:45 am, Monday, January 22, 2018, Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Shiloh.

Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 22, 2018 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Shiloh, with Msgr. William J. Hitpas presiding and Bishop Stanley Schlarman concelebrating. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh.
