Jerre Lynn Dudley, nee Paddock, age 72, of O'Fallon, Ill., born January 30, 1940, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at her home.
Jerre had previously worked as a medical records clerk for Cochran VA medical center, and as a secretary to Cahokia school administrators. She was a former US Army Reservist, assigned to the supply detail. Jerre loved animals and often took in stray cats to feed and care for them. She was involved in St. Clare Catholic Church parish, where she made wonderful friends while attending Bible studies, serving on social action committees, and participating in the Prison Ministry's Storybook Ministry.
Jerre was preceded in death by her parents Stewart and Mary Helen, nee Berger, Paddock. Surviving is her beloved son, Michael Dudley, of O'Fallon.
Memorial donations may be made to Convent of Good Shepherd or to Spencer Pet Rescue and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Visitation: Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 27, 2012, and after 9:00 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home.
Funeral Procession will depart the funeral home at 9:45 a.m., Saturday, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012 at St. Clare Catholic Church, with Rev. Jim Deiters presiding. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
