Jill Elizabeth Dryden, nee Gehrs, of Fairview Heights, IL, born September 1, 1976  to John and Sandra, nee Robbs, Gehrs, died July 3, 2022 at the age of 45.

Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our beloved Jill. Her bright light and big heart left us far too soon.  Jill left behind her two children, whom she loved dearly.  Xavier Sykes of Swansea and infant daughter Ella Mai Wilson of Fairview Heights, IL. She will be missed by her dear companion Robert Wilson as well as her parents John and Sandra Gehrs and sister Gina (Jeff) Gehrs Haberl.  Jill was also loved by nieces Erinne & Melissa Haberl, honorary nieces Katie Wilson & Reece Brem, and honorary father-in-law John Wilson.

Jill was previously a critical care technician/sitter at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. She had a gift with working with the elderly, she was always so caring with her patients. Most recently she was employed through BASCC as a paraprofessional in their autism program.  Jill had a lot of compassion and patience with her students and took pride in her work.

Jill enjoyed spending time with family the most.  She would take her dad on long car rides after he could no longer drive.  She loved grocery shopping for her parents, always willing to help out.  Jill loved shopping for a good bargain, buying clothes for Ella and loved lotions and perfumes.  She liked vintage clothing and old movies.  Jill enjoyed socializing with her and Rob's many friends who were always and continue to be such a great support for them.

Jill's untimely passing has a left a void in the lives of many, especially her infant daughter. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions to a benefit fund for Ella Mai Wilson. Contributions can be made payable to "Ella Mai Wilson" and mailed to Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon, IL 62269.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2022 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon.  A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the funeral home, with Rev. Skip Leininger officiating. Burial will follow at O'Fallon City Cemetery, O'Fallon, IL.
