Jo Ann Dorothy Shaffer, nee Fohne, age 78, born November 24, 1945, passed away on October 6, 2024 at her home in Lebanon, Illinois.

Jo Ann loved life and embraced each moment, living to the fullest. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. She fought long and hard since her original diagnosis of multiple myeloma in 2015.

She was preceded in death by her parents Maurice and Carol, nee Gaffner, Fohne; her son Stephen Maurice Shaffer; son-in-law John Albers; her former husband William Shaffer; and her beloved dog Snickers.

Surviving are her daughter Barbara Shaffer of Lebanon, grandchildren Benjamin Shaffer and Suzanne (Steven) Pohlman, and Suzanne's mother Laura Kloth.

Washington St., O'Fallon, IL 62269, payable to either Shriner's Hospital or Siteman Cancer Center , in appreciation for the care provided to Jo Ann and her family over the years.
