Joseph Andrew Butler, age 53, of Belleville, born February 29, 1964 at Scott AFB, Ill., died January 23, 2018 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, O'Fallon, Ill., following a brief illness.

Joe grew up in O'Fallon, and graduated from O'Fallon Twp. High School in 1982. He worked at various locations throughout the metro-east doing rental property maintenance and janitorial work. Joe was a loyal friend and brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Donalene, nee Schaefer, Butler, his infant brother Todd, and brother-in-law Mike Argent.

Surviving are his daughter Maria (Josh Good) Satulla of Lincoln, Ill., grandchildren Dalton and Blake Westcott; and his 8 siblings Becky (Charlie) Davis of Shiloh, Chris Argent of St. Louis, Greg (Jan) Butler of Fairview Heights, Angie (Johnny) Forrest of House Springs, Mo., Laurie (Bob) Scheibel of Caseyville, Scott Butler of Belleville, Brett Butler of Belleville, and Jeremy Butler of St. Louis.

Memorial donations are suggested to HSHS Hospice.
