IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph B.
Rademacher
October 3, 1927 – March 30, 2018
Joseph Bernard Rademacher, age 90, of O'Fallon, Ill., born October 3, 1927 in Albers, Ill., passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at Cedarhurst of Shiloh.
Joe was a 6-year veteran of the US Navy. He met his wife, Marge, at a picnic, and they married July 7, 1953 at St. Boniface Church in Germantown. He had worked many years for Maryland Casualty Insurance as a safety inspector. When his boys were younger, he volunteered with Scouting. Joe was a member of the American Legion Post 1026 in Albers, St. Vincent de Paul Society, O'Fallon Senior Citizens, and Knights of Columbus Council 4239 in O'Fallon. As charter members of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, he and Marge were active parishioners and members of Yesterday's Kids. Joe was recently honored for his long-time service and participation at King's House Retreat and Renewal Center in Belleville, where he also served as Retreat Captain. He played Santa Claus at St. Clair Square, enjoyed his pinochle card club, and had travelled extensively with his wife. Joe was a good father, a great husband, and a loving grandfather and great-grandfather; his baby blue eyes and his dry sense of humor will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Rose, nee Kassen, Rademacher; his brother Wilbert Rademacher, sister Mary Ann (Joe) Schomaker; and grandchildren Brandon and Grace Rademacher, and Michael Wellen.
Surviving are his wife Marge; his children Joe (Tammy) Rademacher of Fairview Heights, Kevin (Linda) Rademacher of O'Fallon, Diane (Jim) Wellen of Aviston, Donna (Joe) Buchheit of O'Fallon, Mo., and Debbie (Manny) Ruiz of San Antonio, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren plus 3 on the way.
