Joshua Dossen Jones, age 33, of Carlyle, Ill., formerly of Fairview Heights, Ill., born December 5, 1985 in Rolla, Mo., to Danny and Dawn, nee Stewart, Jones, died Thursday, October 17, 2019 at his home.

Josh grew up in Fairview Heights, and moved to Breese as a teenager, graduating from Breese Central High School. Josh had worked as a roofer. He was a loving father to his daughter, Jaelin, and loved his family and close friends. He was an avid music listener and enjoyed riding dirt bikes.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ancel and Irene Jones of O'Fallon; maternal grandfather Robert Lee Stewart of Rolla, Mo., and his baby nephew Ira Rakers.

Surviving are his parents Danny and Dawn, nee Stewart, Jones of Carlyle; his daughter Jaelin Faye Jones; his sisters Julia "Kristy" Jones of O'Fallon, Danela "Nell" Marie Jones of Carlyle, grandmother Mary E. (significant other Rudy Burrell) Stewart of Rolla, Mo., nephews Dossen and Kiram, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested payable to Danny or Dawn Jones, as the funds will be forwarded to an appropriate supportive charity or center for opiate reform and recovery.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon.

Funeral:  Service will begin at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the funeral home.
