Joyce Jeanette Koesterer, nee Berberich, age 93, formerly of O'Fallon, born December 4, 1925 in New Baden, Ill., the youngest of seven children, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 8, 2019, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Illinois.

Joyce grew up in New Baden and attended Blackburn College. They moved to O'Fallon in 1953, where they raised their family. She worked for many years with AAFES at Scott AFB, retiring in 1981.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin, whom she married June 14, 1950 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden, and who passed away July 12, 2013; her parents Leonard and Dora "Pearl," nee McClane Berberich, and brothers and sisters: Matt Berberich, Frances Berberich, Gene Berberich, Violet Randal, and Homer Berberich.

Surviving are her sons Michael F. (Julie) Koesterer of St. Louis, Mark E. (Miles) Koesterer of Glen Carbon; beloved grandsons Rhyse and Liam, and many nieces and nephews.

Because of Joyce's love of her community, memorial donations are suggested to the O'Fallon Historical Society, 101 West State St., O'Fallon, IL 62269.

Funeral: Graveside Service will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 17, 2019 at O'Fallon City Cemetery, O'Fallon, with Rev. Jim Deiters officiating.
