Obituary

Nita was born in Lebanon, Ill. to Ellen (nee McLeod) and Earl Monken; she had two sisters, Velma Monken Bunge and Mrytle Monken Griggs. She never left the area living in Lebanon, Cahokia and O'Fallon her entire life.

Shortly out of high school she met and married Charles Marvin Kimble. After their three children were in school, she fulfilled her dream of attending college and graduated from McKendree College with an English major, and History minor. Nita taught in East St. Louis at Lansdowne Middle School and Charles taught at the high school the remainder of their teaching careers.

Charles passed away shortly after their retirement. Nita met and married Hrant Norsigian and both enjoyed traveling the US and Europe. After Hrant's death, Nita socialized with many of her childhood friends. She moved into the Colonnade Senior Living in O'Fallon where she was beloved by staff and residents. She was tagged "the walking lady" because she liked to keep moving by walking the halls. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in O'Fallon.

Nita is survived by her three children Cyndi Kimble Lemmon (Miles) in Ramsey, Minn.; Linda Kimble Jaremus (Ben) in Skokie, Ill.; Craig Kimble (Mini) in O'Fallon, Ill.; six grandchildren Ross Lemmon (Brenda), Jacob Lemmon (Nicole), Devin Jaremus Bloden (Danny), Dana Jaremus Ymeri (Eddy), Sean Kimble (Brittany), Leilani Kimble Arnold (Travis) and twelve great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, Ill. with Fr. Nick Junker officiating. A luncheon to celebrate Nita's life will follow at Colonnade Senior Living, O'Fallon, Ill.
