Judith S. "Judy" Collins, age 72, of O'Fallon, Ill., born October 18, 1937, in Picayune, Miss., died at 5:03 a.m., Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Judy was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed shopping, gardening and home decorating.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Mary, nee Howard, Schoenick of Biloxi, Miss., and an older brother Bill Schoenick.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Collins, of O'Fallon, Ill., whom she married January 10, 1965 in Biloxi; and her children Sgt Major USMC Joel (Lori) Collins of Jacksonville, N.C.; Jennifer (Jim) Larrison of Alexandria, Va.; and Jon Collins of O'Fallon, Ill.; grandsons Douglas Collins II, Dane Collins, Dryver Larrison and Stryde Larrison; her twin sister Jerry Chaney of Richmond, Va., and brother Dick (Vina) Schoenick of Vancleave, Miss.; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

Memorials in honor of Mrs. Collins may be made to the charity of one's choice.

There will be no visitation at the request of the family in accordance with Judy's wishes. Interment services will be private.
