Kathryn "Babe" Wolfersberger, nee Kuehn, age 85, lifelong resident of O'Fallon, Ill., born May 8, 1924 in O'Fallon, Ill. passed away Saturday evening, June 20, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Babe was the deeply cherished mother, friend, and heart of her family. She loved life and expressed it through her cooking, stitchery, and quilting for her family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Cyril, whom she married May 3, 1942 and who passed away December 6, 1992, parents Marcel and Mary, nee Meyer, Kuehn, brother PFC Russell Kuehn, a WWII casualty; and son-in-law Jerry Fedell .

She is survived by her seven daughters Bonnie (John) Wright of O'Fallon, Dianne (Bill) Brooks of North Wales, Penna., Rosalie (Greg) Maul of O'Fallon, Sally Fedell of Amherst, N.Y., Mary Beth (Dr. Herschel) Harter of Monroe, La., Geralyn (Alan) Borwey of O'Fallon, and Debbie (Drew) Brauer of Swansea; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; brother Stanley (Delores "Doots") Kuehn of O'Fallon; and dear friends and neighbors Walt and Shirley Roskowski.

In honor of Mrs. Wolfersberger's life, memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to either Hospice of Southern Illinois, 305 S. Illinois Street, Belleville, Ill 62220 or St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 625 St. Nicholas Drive, O'Fallon, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following visitation at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Msgr. William Hitpas presiding. Interment at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
