Marlynn "Kaye" Townsend, nee Allsup, age 71, of O'Fallon, born April 11, 1941 in Herrin, Illinois, to Arlie Eugene Allsup and Marjorie Juanita, nee Padgett, Allsup, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.

Kaye retired from First Illinois Bank, in East St. Louis, after 35 years as a teller and was a member of First Baptist Church O'Fallon. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving are her two sons Keith Townsend of Troy, Ill., and Kevin (Carla) Townsend of O'Fallon, Ill.; her three grandchildren, Alexa, Preston, and Parker Townsend; and two brothers David Allsup of Troy, Ill., and Robert (Sheila) Allsup of Longmont, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a dear close friend, Anthony "Tony" Rukavina.

Memorial donations are kindly requested, in lieu of flowers and other gifts, to American Kidney Fund or Spencer Pet Rescue, and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Vistation: Friends may call from 9:00 – 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at the funeral home, with Rev. Dr. Doug Munton officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
