Obituary

The Memorial gathering for Mr. Sellers, which was to be held on February 26 at Shiloh Eagles,
has been cancelled due to inclement weather and icy conditions.

Kenneth Dale Sellers, age 74 of O'Fallon, Ill., born August 14, 1947 in St. Louis, Mo., passed away Saturday morning, January 29, 2022 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, with his loving wife by his side.

Kenny was a stay-at-home retired husband for 20 years, after working for 35 years with Boeing as an Expeditor. His interests were sports, especially football, basketball and golf. As a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Kenny was great at Sports Trivia.

A 1965 graduate of Collinsville High School, Kenny was a US Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War era. He was a member of Shiloh Fraternal Order of Eagles for 40 years, where he and his wife had many good times and developed many friendships over the years. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Masons and was a Shriner.

Kenny was preceded in death by his only child, Matthew Sellers, who was the light of his parents' lives. We find some comfort knowing they are together again. He is also preceded in death by his parents Harold and Audrey, nee Ransom, Sellers; and his brother Harold Sellers, Jr.

Surviving are his loving wife of 44 years, Diane, nee Wilson, Sellers of O'Fallon; his dear sister-in-law Jeannette Scrivner and her husband James R. Scrivner; dear brother-in-law Lloyd G. Wilson, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A Memorial Gathering for friends and family was to be held on Feb. 26, but due to inclement weather and icy conditions, the event has been cancelled. A private graveside service was held at O'Fallon City Cemetery, and Kenny was laid to rest, with military honors, next to his son, Matthew.

Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, assisted the family.
