Kenneth A. Williams, of O'Fallon, Ill., passed away quietly Saturday evening, November 19, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Born in East St. Louis, Ill., one of five children of Ray and Margaret, nee Weyand, Williams, he attended St. Henry's Grade School and Central Catholic High School in East St. Louis, excelling at baseball and basketball.

Ken enlisted in the Army Air Force, serving in the Pacific theater during World War II as an aerial gunner on the B-24. He accepted a scholarship to Villanova University where he played on the school basketball team. He continued his education and played college basketball at St. Louis University and Quincy College.

He was recruited by the FBI, rising through the ranks, spending 13 years in Valdosta, Georgia as SAC (Special Agent in Charge), and was transferred back to his hometown and served in the St. Louis FBI Office as supervisor until his retirement after 29 years in the Bureau. He spent the next 10 years working for the U.S. Department of Defense.

His family and his faith were his lifelong priorities.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Mary Louise, nee Roewe, Williams, of O'Fallon; his daughter Patricia (Michael) Godt of O'Fallon, sons Kenneth Scott of Pasadena, Calif., and Keith (Sandra) of Marietta, Ga., his grandchildren Laura (Jacob) Hong, Lynn (Jon) Kee, Scott (Talia) McGreevy, Annie Louise Woods, Alexander Williams, and Natalie Williams; great-grandchildren Andrew and Jack Hong, Mayzie Kee, Ella and Elaina McGreevy.

Memorial donations are suggested to St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 625 St. Nicholas Dr., O'Fallon, and from 9:00 – 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at the church. Yesterday's Kids will conduct a walk-through at 9:15 am, Wednesday, at the church.

Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, with Msgr. William J. Hitpas presiding. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
