Kristina Nicole Dallas, age 43, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born February 15, 1980 in Belleville, passed away April 24, 2023.

Kristina grew up in Fairview Heights and attended Whiteside School where she was a cheerleader. She graduated from Belleville East High School and furthered her education at SWIC and SIUE where she obtained her Masters in Special Education. Kristina was a long-time teacher at B.A.S.S.C and most recently at Grant Middle School. She loved teaching and she especially loved her Autism students – many of whom have been impacted by her dedication to teaching over the years. Kristina was a loving mother and was a strong support to other family members. She loved to travel, was a fan of the Grateful Dead, liked going to concerts, and loved her many cats over the years. Kristina's passing has left a huge void in the lives of her family and her students.

She was preceded in death by her mother Beth Ann, nee Nelson, Higgins, her grandparents Clifford and Aletha Nelson, and Charles Higgins.

She is survived by her children Teagan and Tatum Dallas, father Keevin Higgins, sister Kayla (John) Welge; niece Joni Beth Welge, grandmother Maxine Higgins, and her former husband Travis Dallas.

In lieu of flowers and other gifts, memorial donations are suggested to the family and may be mailed to Wolfersberger Funeral Home.
