Lanetta Joanne McDaniel passed quietly at her sister Triesta's home in Clay City, Ill. at 7:10 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2012.
Joey (as she was known) had small-cell lung cancer. She is survived by her husband, Bruce McDaniel, her son, Damien Tingley of Palestine, Ill., and step-son, Thane Tingley of Palestine, Ill. Joey was blessed with a grandchild and three step-grandchildren.
Also surviving are her mother, Etta Knoblett of Robinson, Ill., brother Cliff Rush, Jr. of Robinson, sister Triesta Ahrens of Clay City, Ill., and sister Pamela Cotton of Robinson. Joey was preceded in death by her father Clifford Leo Rush and her step-father Harold Knoblett. She also had numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Joey chose to donate her body to medical science.
