Lawrence Wade Collins, age 51, born August 4, 1963 in Metropolis, Ill., passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at his home in Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Lawrence grew up in Troy, Ill., and graduated from Triad High School. He was an independent, hard worker and took great pride in his work as a carpenter. He loved being outdoors, where he enjoyed nature. He treasured the time with his family and especially loved sneaking chocolate to his granddaughter Mariah.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rollie and Beverly Collins.
He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Maria Collins, of Fairview Heights, daughter Kim Francois and husband Kenny, both serving in the Air Force; and his son Nathanial Lawrence Collins, of the home; his precious granddaughters Mariah and Elise Francois; and his large loving family, to include his brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.
