Lawrence Michael McGrath, age 83, of O'Fallon, Ill., formerly of Manteca, Calif., passed away July 3, 2024 at his daughter's home in O'Fallon.

Larry was born December 15, 1940 in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and grew up in northern Illinois. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1960 and served as an aviation ordinance tech assigned to Marine Air Base Squadron 12, 1st Marine Air Wing.

Larry is survived by his brother Tim; daughters Kathryn Watchha and her husband Homiyar of O'Fallon, Ill; and Kelly Vlcek and her husband Jim of Elk Grove, Calif.; and his grandchildren Meghan, JD, Armaiti, Ameirah, Aleiyah, and his dog Toby.

He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria, and parents John and June McGrath.

Services were held in Manteca, Calif., and Mr. McGrath was laid to rest with his late wife at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, in Santa Nella, Calif.
