Lee Anna Alvey, age 73, born April 21, 1948 in Alton, Illinois, the oldest of six children to Clyde and Mary, nee Hewlett, Garvin, passed away after a brief and sudden illness on September 23, 2021.
Lee Anna grew up in Rosewood Heights, and attended Alton High School, and later to moved to Fairview Heights. She married Elton "Red" Alvey and together, they lived in O'Fallon for over 50 years. She was a faithful member at O'Fallon Assembly of God Church for many years. She was a kind and generous friend and sister, and never had a harsh word toward anyone. She enjoyed reading books and watching classic movies and "Little House on the Prairie" series.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Matthew Garvin; and her beloved son Reuben Christopher Alvey, whose loss she deeply mourned.
Surviving are her husband Elton "Red" Alvey; daughter Nora Alvey; sisters Cynthia Robinson, Rebecca Robinson, Veda Traw, and her brother Lance Garvin.

A Memorial Service will be at 11 am, Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at O'Fallon Assembly of God, 1400 N. Green Mount Rd., O'Fallon, Ill., with Pastor Don Andreasen officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. A private burial will be at O'Fallon City Cemetery.
