Leola M. Titter, nee Krump, age 95, of O'Fallon, Ill., passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 13, 2009 at Cedar Ridge Healthcare in Lebanon. She was born May 12, 1914 in Lebanon Township, Ill.
Mrs. Titter enjoyed being a homemaker and spent many hours creating craft projects for church bazaars, family and friends throughout her married life.
During her life time she was a member of the O'Fallon First United Methodist Church, the Methodist Woman's Society where she held many offices, the Methodist Friendship Circle, Home Extension of O'Fallon, and O'Fallon Historical Society. For 35 years, Mrs. Titter attended the Illinois Homemakers Camp where she enjoyed teaching and taking part in craftmaking.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William R. Titter, her parents, Charles and Katherine (nee Wolf) Krump and three brothers, Ellsworth Krump, Raymond Krump and Robert Krump.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Karen Lee and Jim Maloney of O'Fallon, Ill., step-grandchildren, Danny (Stacie) Maloney and great-granddaughter, Olivia Maloney all of Gurnee, Ill., god-children, Becky Blake of Waldorf, Md. and Donald Krump of Gig Harbor, Wash., a cousin, Annie Arnold of Highland, Ill. and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to the First United Methodist Church of O'Fallon, or to the charity of one's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Visitation: Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2009 at the funeral home, with Rev. Ron Dickinson and Rev. Joel Catlin officiating. Interment will follow at O'Fallon City Cemetery.
