Obituary

Linda Ann (formerly Lynn) Loeffel, nee Abaffe, age 80, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born June 3, 1942 in St. Louis, entered into Eternal Rest October 3, 2022 at her home with her daughters at her side.

A 1960 graduate of Rosati-Kain HS, Linda worked for 22 years for the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, retiring in 2007. She and her late husband, Ken, were former owners and longtime fans of local horse racing. Linda was a devout Catholic, and was a beloved member of Yesterday's Kids group at St. Nicholas Church, O'Fallon, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Loeffel, Sr., her parents Thomas and Sylvia, nee Keiser, Abaffe; her brother Charles Glass, and stepson Kenneth Loeffel, Jr.

Surviving are her daughters Lisa Lynn-Eberts, Lori (Jack) Lynn Causey, stepdaughters Debra (Paul) Dunbar, and Mary (Jeff) Putman; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-8 pm, Monday, October 10, 2022 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, Ill., and will resume at 10 am, Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, O'Fallon. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Tuesday, at the church, with Msgr William J. Hitpas presiding. Graveside Services will be at 2 pm, Tuesday, at Valhalla's Hillcrest Abbey Cemetery, 3211 Sublette Ave., St. Louis.
