Linda
Malcom
January 9, 1943 – March 25, 2022
Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Kevin (Janice) Wenger, Kimberly (Brian) Mann, dear Granny of Drake, Andrew, Kathryn, Dillon and Olivia, dear sister and sister-in-law of Susan Holden and David (Janis) Rosenkranz, dear honorary sister of Carolyn Sitzes and Kris Rheinecker.
Preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Charles "Chuck" Malcom, and her parents, Bud and Val, nee Dikeman, Rosenkranz.
A native of Kansas, Linda graduated from Kansas State University and enjoyed a 30-year career as a physical education teacher, touching the lives of countless elementary, middle and high school students. Linda was an active member of the O'Fallon First United Methodist Church where she formed many friendships. She treasured her friends from various circles including her Koinonia Sunday School Class, YMCA Swim Team, Chi Omega sisters, gardening friends, and First Street Crew with whom she enjoyed a weekly cheeseburger. Linda's passion for plants and flowers was evident in her beautiful home and lush gardens. She enjoyed vacations to the beach, the mountains, and Cardinals Spring Training. She was an avid supporter of her children, grandchildren, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Kansas State Wildcats. Linda's family and friends will always remember her generous heart, tremendous patience, and gentle spirit.
The family is grateful for the care provided by Dr. Premal Thaker and her staff, Siteman Cancer Center, and BJC Hospice.
