Lloyd "Dick" Mixen, age 73, of O'Fallon, born December 25, 1941, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Dick retired from Eastman Kodak Company and had been employed as a First Student bus driver a few years ago. He was veteran of the US Air Force and had served in Vietnam as a computer and radio operator and repairman. He enjoyed building computers and circuit boards and was clever and crafty with gadgets, radios, and electronics.

Surviving are his wife, Winona L. (McNease) Mixen, nee Williams, of O'Fallon; his children Lloyd R. "Rusty" Mixen, Jr., of Alhambra, Ill., Lawrence R. "Larry" Mixen of Lebanon, Ill., Loretta L. "Lori" Mixen of Belleville, Ill., Leonard R. "Lonnie" Mixen of Litchfield, Ill., stepsons John C. "Johnnie" McNease of St. Louis, Mo., and Justin C. McNease of Granite City, Ill.; and his siblings Sherry Lundak, Julie "Elaine" McDonald, Harlan "Bub" Mayes, Jr., and Linda Schaefer; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Samuel Lloyd Mixen; his mother and step-father Mary and Harlan Mayes, Sr., daughter Linda Mixen and son Louis Mixen.

In lieu of flowers and other gifts, memorial donations are suggested to VFW Post 805 Veteran Relief Fund, 223 West First St., O'Fallon, IL 62269 and will be accepted at the funeral home. Mr. Mixen generously donated his body for medical research.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon, Ill.

Funeral: Military Honors will be rendered at 1:30 pm, Sunday, February 1, 2015, at the funeral home.
