Lois "Tiny" H. Loyet, age 84, of Lebanon, Ill., born January 24, 1933 in Belleville, died Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Lebanon Care Center, Lebanon, Ill.
Tiny was a member at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, where she had participated in the former Ladies Club. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the St. Clair County Homemakers. After retirement, Tiny and her husband "Cease" travelled often and lived in Quartzsite, Ariz. for several years where she worked for the Quartzsite Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed crafts, making plastic canvas, sewing, and home-canning, but mostly, she treasured her role as a mother and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil "Cease" Loyet in 2009, her grandson A1C Zachary Cuddeback (KIA), her parents Alfred and Elvira, nee Grandcolas, Veigel; and her sisters Shirley Clements, Jacquelyn Honer, and Carol Priola.
Surviving are her children David (Carol) Loyet of Lebanon, Sandra (Mike) Daukus of Lexington, Ky., Geralyn (Greg) McKee of Festus, Mo., Mary Ann Bevirt of O'Fallon, Joan Qualls of Lebanon, Carol (Tom) Ruffner of Swansea, and Celia Loyet of Denver, Colo.; sixteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, September 8, 2017 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, O'Fallon, and from 9:00 – 9:45 am, Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the church.
Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Saturday, September 9, 2017, with Msgr. William Hitpas and Rev. Brett Judkins concelebrating. Burial of cremated remains will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery (Keppler's Cemetery), rural O'Fallon.
