Lois Ann Sexauer (nee Driscoll), age 86, O'Fallon, IL, born September 26, 1935 in St Louis, MO, to Eugene & Anna Mae Driscoll, died Friday May 20, 2022 after a long battle with Primary Progressive Aphasia & Alzheimer's disease.

Lois graduated from Elmhurst College & earned her Masters degree from St. Louis University. She was a  dedicated educator and had worked for the Special School District of St. Louis County on two different occasions as a Speech Pathologist, while taking off years to raise her own family.

An accomplished vocalist, Lois is now singing in a Chorus of Angels. She was a member of the John Knox Church choir for 40 years, St Louis Symphony Chorus at Powell Hall for 10 years, & sang for her friends & their children's weddings, as well as funerals. She also sang with the UMSL Community Chorus, Metro East Community Chorale & the O'Fallon United Church of Christ choir.

She loved & was dedicated to her family & grandchildren, yet still found time to help the community. She was the President of the Christian Hospital Auxiliary when it was the Auxiliary of the Year for the State of Missouri; Past President ADK Chapter of the Fine Arts Council of Florissant & the KH Chapter of the PEO & more.

Lois & John, her husband of 64 years, traveled the world. She was an avid antique seeker & collector. She had the most positive outlook on life up to the very end & will be dearly missed by all.

Preceded in death by her parents Eugene & Anna Mae. Her husband of 64 years, John Henry Sexauer, Jr., was reunited with her in heaven two days after her death.

Survived by her sons David (Sharon), Alan (Michelle) & Steven (Patti); grandchildren Amy, Jessica (Alex), Ryan, Emily, Laura (Dan) Paulsell, Andrew (Crystal), Lauren & John "Jack." Also surviving are great grandchildren Gyn, Kennedy & Andrew Jr.; & many loving relatives.

Memorial donations are suggested to the O'Fallon UCC Special Music Fund. In keeping with her generous spirit, Lois chose to donate her body for medical research.

Memorial Visitation will begin at 11:30 am, Sunday, June 12, 2022, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 pm at the United Church of Christ, 206 W. Adams St,  O'Fallon, IL, 62269, with Rev. Dr. Martha L. Thierheimer officiating.
