Obituary
Lorene Marie "Reanie" Sanford, nee Helmns, age 78, of Belleville, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Memorial Hospital, in Belleville, Ill.
Reanie was born July 7, 1934 in Caseyville, Ill., the only child of Clifford and Hazel Mary, nee French, Helmns from O'Fallon, Ill.
She was a 1952 graduate of O'Fallon Township High School.
She retired from AT&T in 1988 after working there for 32 years, and later worked 14 years in the VIP Department at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Reanie was a devoted mother and loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly.
In keeping with her generous spirit in life, Reanie was able to continue her generosity in death by sharing the Gift of Life through organ and tissue donation.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one great-grandson.
She is survived by her children Ronald George Woods, of Belleville, Ill., and Deborah (Ted) Yaeger of Swansea, Ill., five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and long-time family friend Patrick E. Fahey of Shiloh, Ill.
All services will be private. Her ashes will be buried alongside her parents at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
