Louis W.
Wolf
March 10, 1938 – December 6, 2018
Louis William Wolf, age 80, of O'Fallon, born March 10, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri, died December 6, 2018 at his home in O'Fallon, Illinois.
Louis graduated from Assumption Catholic High School, East St. Louis, in 1956. He attended college and began working for Klaus Coffee at the young age of 21 as a sales executive. Through mergers and acquisitions with Manhattan Coffee, Nestle, and Sara Lee, he retired 48 years later. He had received numerous awards and recognitions for outstanding customer service throughout the years in the coffee and restaurant industry. Louis was a charter member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and had formerly served on the Parish Council. He was a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus.
Louis loved his church, celebrating Christmas, and the annual family vacations. He enjoyed his yard and decorating for the holidays. Known as "PaPa" to his grandchildren, they will miss his 20-year tradition of Saturday morning custom-ordered donut deliveries. He will be missed by his many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents William L. and Lena, nee Falkauff, Wolf; and his brothers-in-law Joseph Cygan, Joe Klaus, and Frank Deutsch.
He is survived by his wife Mary Elizabeth, nee Klaus, Wolf, of O'Fallon; his five girls Julie (Mike) Boucher of Troy, Michelle (Air Force Colonel Kurt) Bergo of San Antonio, Pattie (Larry) Kigin of Troy, Amie (Peter) Gruszka of Chicago, Lauren (Damien) Yank of Troy; grandchildren Megan (Matt) Biegacki, Kaitlin (Devin) Stevens, Air Force Lieutenant Kimberly (Lieutenant Seth) Jackson, Emily Bergo, Kevin and Collin Kigin, William, Alex, and Cecelia Gruszka, Grayson, Stella, and Lilly Yank; and four great-grandchildren Joseph and Louis Biegacki, and Jude and Ollie Stevens; his siblings Jane Cygan of Smithton, and Martin (Ruth Ann) Wolf of Breese; and sister-in-law Margaret "Margo" Deutsch of Collinsville.
