Louise A. Mank, age 89, of Troy, IL, passed away Monday, October 23, 2006 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL. Louise was born June 13, 1917 to Henry C. and Anna (nee Stephany) Weirich in Green Creek, Illinois, one of fourteen children. She married William C. Mank on May 24, 1938 at St. Michael's Church in St. Louis, MO. He passed away October 21, 1962. Early in their marriage, they lived in Granite City, where she was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church. In 1972, she moved to Bethalto, where she belonged to Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish. In 2003, she moved to Troy and joined her son, Monsignor Virgil Mank, at the parish of St. Jerome. Mrs. Mank loved her Faith, her family, and the St. Louis Cardinals.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, 12 siblings, and her son, Louis A. Mank.

She is survived by two daughters, Darlene (William ) Wadlow of Wentzville, MO; and Mary (Richard) Gier of Fenton, MO; four sons, Msgr. Virgil Mank, V.F., Pastor of St. Jerome Parish, Troy, IL; Billy (Constance) Mank of Godfrey, IL; James (friend Lynne Marburger) of Bethalto, IL, and Timothy (Michelle) Mank of Charlotte, NC; her sister Flora Henken of Breese, IL; 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

The family of Mrs. Mank requests in lieu of flowers that Memorial Donations be made to St. Jerome Catholic Church or in the form of Masses.

Friends may call from 3:00 – 7:00 pm, Thursday, October 26, 2006 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 511 S. Main St., Troy, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 7:00 pm, Thursday, October 26, 2006 at St. Jerome Catholic Church with her son, Msgr. Virgil W. Mank, V.F., presiding.

Private interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, New Baden, Illinois.
