Lucas Anthony Mountain, born December 24, 1995, in Belleville, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 2, 2026 at his home in O’Fallon, Illinois. Lucas will be remembered for his big heart, playful spirit, and the quirky way he brought joy to those who knew him.
Lucas attended Logos School in St. Louis and worked as a Shift Leader at MotoMart in O’Fallon. He was known as ornery but lovable—a big guy with an even bigger heart. His personality filled a room, and his family and friends will carry countless memories of his “Prepare to be amazed” humor, warmth, and unmistakable way of making life more fun.
Lucas loved sports and had a gift for keeping stats. He was a devoted Detroit Red Wings fan and also cheered for the Oregon Ducks and the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed NASCAR and Formula One, and he never missed a chance to watch a game, race, or matchup. The Fourth of July was his favorite holiday, he loved watching fireworks and celebrating with his family.
Lucas is survived by his parents Rachel and Harold Mountain, Jr.; his siblings, Lydia, Andrew, and Amelia; his niece, Isabelle; his grandmothers, Becky Davis and Annette Mountain; and his uncle, Charlie (Charity) Mountain and countless other family and friends who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Charlie Davis and Harold Mountain, Sr.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know him.
