Lyndell Wayne "Lynn" Adcock, age 69 of O'Fallon, born February 5, 1953 in Sikeston, Mo., passed away July 22, 2022 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.

Lynn graduated from OTHS Class of 1971. As a young man, he worked at Schwarz Furniture Co., and Mosby Printing & Publishing. In 1975, he established his own soda distribution route with RC Cola before starting his career with the former Illinois Distributing (now Grey Eagle) where he worked loyally for 36 years until his retirement in 2019. Lynn was an honest and hard worker and enjoyed his co-workers and customers along his route throughout St. Clair County. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking and being with his family. He was a loving father and grandfather and loved each and every one of his children.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Gearldean, nee Hicks, Adcock.

Surviving are his wife Lucy, nee Schmitt, Adcock; children Karen (Chris) Brutto, Jeffrey (Christina) Adcock, Elechia (James) Giles, and Brandy (Doug) Fall; grandchildren Jacob and Alex Brutto, Matthew and Allison Adcock, Devin and Alan Huber, Aiden and Peyton Fall; grandbaby Adcock on the way; and great-grandchild Walker Stark; three sisters Jan (Gale) Jones, Patricia (the late Don) Davis, and Brenda (Jerry) Schuhart; and a dear friend who was like a brother Ron Warhoover.

Visitation: 4-8 pm, Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon.

Funeral: 10 am, Friday, July 29, 2022 at the funeral home, with Father Nick Fleming officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
