Marcella Ann "Sally" Albers, age 88, of O'Fallon, born September 3, 1926 in St. Libory, Ill., to John and Hulda (nee Beelman) Hummert, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Cedar Ridge Healthcare in Lebanon, Ill.

Mrs. Albers was a longtime parishioner at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing pinochle, designing quilt tops, and was an avid bowler.

Surviving are her husband, Ardell "Art" Albers, whom she married October 28, 1944; her children Geraldine (Donald) Hubert, of Lebanon; Carol (Robert) Stock of Highland, and Ardell "Bud" (Tiffany) Albers, Jr., of Glencoe, Mo.

Also surviving are her grandchildren Scott, David, and Douglas Hubert, Bill (Joanna) Theismann, Amy (Drew) Nagel, Greg Theismann, Danielle (Daniel) Szafir, Zachary Albers, and Jace Albers; great-grandchildren Samantha, Hailey, and Dustin Hubert, Bailey and Joshua Theismann, A.J. and Will Theismann, Aiden Nagel; and one great-great-granddaughter Raina Marie Hubert; sisters Lorraine Wienstroer and Verena Harwerth; and brother Melvin Hummert.

She was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Albers, sister Loretta Hoeft, brother Albert Hummert, and her parents.

Memorial donations are suggested to Unity Hospice, in appreciation for their care and kindness to Mrs. Albers and her family.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 -8:00 pm, Thursday, October 30, 2014, at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon, Ill., and after 10:00 am, Friday, October 31, 2014 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, O'Fallon, Ill.

Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Friday, October 31, 2014 with Msgr. William J. Hitpas presiding. Entombment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
