Obituary

Margaret C. Pappaspanos, nee Waldbuser, age 92, born May 11, 1924 in Riverview Gardens, Missouri, passed away Saturday morning, May 14, 2016 at Fieser Nursing Facility, Fenton, Missouri.

Margaret was one of seven daughters born to Fred and Agnes, nee Grumich, Waldbuser. She grew up in Riverview Gardens, Missouri, and later moved to the metro-east area in Illinois. She worked for many years at Panorama Bowling Alley, Belleville, where she tended to the children in the nursery. She was a former parishioner at St. Clare Catholic Church, O'Fallon.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred F. Pappaspanos, whom she married January 5, 1946 and who passed away December 13, 1978; her sons Dennis and Dale; her parents; and sisters Marie Ruegg, Dorothy Enke, Dolores Lee, and Lorraine Campbell, and "Little" Agnes.

Surviving are her children Lois (Tom) Hamilton, and Carolyn Bailey, her grandson Christopher (Lyndsay) Bailey-Smith, and granddaughter Tammy, sister LaVerne Skornia, brother-in-law John Lee, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations are suggested to American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Visitation: Friends are welcome from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon, Ill. Visitation will also be held 9:00 – 10:00 am, Thursday, May 19, 2016 at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 1411 Cross St., Shiloh, Illinois.

Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Thursday, May 19, 2016, at the church, with Rev. Jim Deiters presiding. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Illinois.
