Marie Berens, nee Mitchell, age 80, formerly of O'Fallon, Ill., departed for eternal rest on Sunday, November 21, 2021. She served for 19 years on the Missouri Arts Council and as the choir director for St. Michael's Episcopal Church in O'Fallon. Marie was a fan of the British Royal Family and spent 2 weeks in London in 2012. She always had a cheerful disposition and inviting smile.

Marie will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Michael; sons Shawn and Patrick; grandsons Shaun and Carson; brother Tom (Zeitha) Mitchell; and sister Helen (the late Michael) Leahy.

Visitation: 4-8 pm, Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon.

Funeral Mass will be held at 5 pm, Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 111 O'Fallon Troy Rd., O'Fallon, Ill., with Father John Thorpe presiding. Interment will be with the family plot in Farber Cemetery, Farber, Mo., at 11 am, Thursday, December 2, 2021.
