Marjorie L. Johannes, nee Wright, age 92, of O'Fallon, born October 9, 1923 in St. Joseph, Mo., died December 16, 2015 at Cedar Ridge Healthcare, Lebanon, Ill.

Mrs. Johannes moved to O'Fallon in 1951 when her husband, Leland, worked with the railroad. She was a member of Sr. Citizens' Club of O'Fallon, and had been active, along with her husband, with the VFW Post 805. She was a long-time parishioner at St. Clare Catholic Church. Marjorie had retired from the business office at St. Elizabeth Hospital and had worked for the city of O'Fallon for many years as a crossing guard at State and Oak Streets.

She was preceded in death by her parents Theo and Ethel, nee Moore, Wright, her husband Leland Calvin Johannes; her son Michael Leland Johannes and her grandson Anthony Mannz.

Surviving are her daughter Sherrie Pechan of Blooming Prairie, Minn., her grandchildren Michael Mannz, Andrea (Andrew) Marshall, Kimberly (Eric) Olson, John (Leslie) Pechan, Donna (Ty) Klemish, Charles (Autumn) Pechan, Patti Pechan, all of Minnesota; three brothers Theodore Wright of St. Joseph, Mo., George Wright of Colo., and Ed (Wanda) Wright of Chicago, Ill., great-grandchildren Calvin, Nichele, Jarrett, Alex (Rachel), Elizabeth, Nicole, Jared, Riley, Brianna, Mara, Jacob, Aliana, Tori, Jacqueline, Blayne, Marvin, Warner, Morgan, Claudia, Isabelle, Hastin, and Emily, several nieces and nephews, and her loving and constant companion, her dog Pollyanna.

Memorial donations are suggested to Shriner's Hospital or Spencer Pet Rescue. The family extends a special thank you to Marjorie's friends and neighbors.
