Obituary

Marjorie Jean Meyers (nee Pearce), age 82, formerly of Grand Haven, Michigan, passed away Monday morning, November 27, 2006 at the Apartment Community of the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville, Illinois. Marjorie was born to Edgar and Francis (nee McClain) Pearce on June 29, 1924 in Bad Axe, Michigan. She married Norman Meyers on September 23, 1950 in Lansing, Michigan. A devoted mother to six children, Marjorie graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Home Economics. She was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Grand Haven, Michigan, until 2004, when she moved to Estero, Florida to be closer to her daughter Denice and son Mark. While in Florida, she attended Our Lady of Light Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Norman, and brother John Pearce.

Mrs. Meyers is survived by her children, Mark J. (Donna) Meyers & their children Dana and Matthew of O'Fallon, IL; Michael J. (Leslie) Meyers & their children Alec and Chase of Marlborough, MA, Christine A. (Terry) Payne & their children Kevin and Michelle of Grand Haven, MI; David J. (Valerie) Meyers & their children Carla, John, Sarah, and Jillian of Mission Viejo, CA; Denice C. (Jack) Murphy & their children Sean and Jacqueline of Scottsdale, AZ, and Shaun P. (Jo) Meyers & their children Lyndsey, Brittany, Hope and Jacob of Harrieta, MI; sister Marian (Edward) Darlington and nieces Linda, Barbara, and Nancy, all of Dexter, Michigan.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10:00 am until service time, Saturday, December 9, 2006 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 920 Fulton St., Grand Haven, Michigan.

Funeral Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at her home parish of St Patrick Catholic Church in Grand Haven, Michigan, 11:00 am, Saturday, December 9, 2006, with Rev. William Langlois, Pastor, presiding. All are invited to a luncheon at St. Patrick's Family Center immediately following the mass.

Private committal service will follow at Lake Forrest Cemetery, Grand Haven, Michigan.
