Martha E. Whittaker Westfall, 82, of Maryville, Ill. (previously of Greenville, Mo.) passed from this life into the next on Thursday, October 22, 2015.
Born in Taskee, Mo., Martha was the daughter of the late Earl and Dorothy Keele. She loved to quilt by hand. Many of her beautiful quilts are being enjoyed by family members and will always be treasured.
Martha is survived by her son, Dale E. Whittaker (Sharilyn) of Collinsville, Ill. and her daughter Ellen Jewell (Gary) of Taylors, S.C., 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Earl Eugene Keele of Greenville, Mo. and sisters Coletta (Keele) Yokel of Elsberry, Mo., Freda (Keele) Middleton and Shirley Keele, both of Williamsville, Mo.
Martha was preceded in death by her first husband William Lorne Whittaker, sons David Whittaker, Ricky Whittaker and granddaughter Kari Whittaker. Martha is also pre-deceased by her sister, Virgina (Keele) Parker, brother Howard Doyle Keele, brother-in-law, George Yokel, and sister-in-law Naomi (Bridges) Keele.
Dale and Ellen would like to express their gratitude to the entire staff of Heartland Hospice of Illinois and Liberty Village Retirement and Rehabilitation Home of Maryville, Ill. for their kindness and dedication in helping to make Martha's final years as pleasant as possible. Visitation services will be held Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Ruegg Funeral Home in Greenville, Mo.
Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. also at the Greenville Chapel. Burial will take place at Rucker Cemetery.
